About David

Bio

David Tocher (pronounced “Talker”) is an author, editor, and essayist from the Okanagan region of British Columbia, Canada. Known for his macabre storytelling, he has earned international acclaim for his imaginative fiction and thought-provoking themes. His works include the short story collection Letters from a Dead World, featuring an introduction by Nancy Kilpatrick, and the 2019 anthology Canadian Dreadful, praised by First Blood author David Morrell as a “harrowing tour of the northern landscape that will leave you both dazzled and terrified.” Tocher is also a producer of several films, including the 2024 remake of Spider Baby. When not writing or exploring literary classics, he enjoys the unique charm of B-movie horror films.

“Those of us who are fans of horror have loved the genre
since early childhood. We were born with an affection
for the werewolf’s howl and mist-shrouded graveyards
at night.”
